Hayes Allied Circus

: — ■ ■ ■♦ .. ' It is perhaps hardly necessary for us to remind our readers that Hayes Allied Circus will perform on Thursday evening on the Corporation reserve opposite the Empire Hotel, because, complying with the universal rule, everybody will be going. We may state, however, that according to what we have been fold by gentlemen ? who witnissed the performances of this company in Wellington; they ate all good. Of the performance the Dunedm Star says:— -As we predicted,. Hayes Allied Circus have, hit the popular taste. Night after night the mammoth marquee has been crowded, and last night ' was no exception, in fact, long before eight o'clock money had to be refused at the doors. The programme presented, which embraces several novelties entirely new to Duhedin, was received with loud applause. The clever Japanese troupe, the danng and graceful riding, Organ's highly- trained horses, and the three downs were, as usual, most heartily applauded. Mdle. Lyola. the lady with the iron jaw, eclipsed all her previous efforts in suspending in mid-air, by means of her mouth, no less than three of the members of the company with ep« parent ease. We are pleased to, chronicle the great success of this excellent combination.
