It is rumoured that Sir George Grey is to be made a peer of the realm. We admit that few of Her Majesty's subjects have deserved greater honor and received less at the hands of the nation for which he has done so much than Sir George, but we do sincerely hope that the name so many in the South Seas have learned to love and respect will never be extinguished by a mere title. No title can ever confer honor on the " Great Pro-Consul."
