[FROM OUR OWN CUBBKSrONDENT.] Bad weather for grass-seed cutting. Plenty of stray cattle and horses on the roads " Cupid" very busy just now. Rowdyism had a " set down" last Saturday evening at the Literary Society's meeting. Larrikins who take pleasure in disturbing meetings will find things rather unpleasant if they indulge in any more of their insane tricks. The picnic of the Literary Society will be held on Saturday. The site selected on the river bed for the event is one th.it will allow of any amount of sports. On Wednesday evening the new lodge of tho Druids held a meeting at Mr Lowes' Hotel. On tho same evening the Farmers' Club met at the school house. The rule re admission of members was amended as per notice given. Messrs Mills and Haythorne were elected members. A most instructive discussion took place re Mr Morton's late paper on lung worm in sheep. It was decided to have a members show of fruits, rlowers, and produce in the month of March.
