NOTICE TO SETTLERS. THE attention of Selectors of Land bounding on Crown Lands in this district is called to the provisions of section 114 of 'The Land Act, 1892,' which reads as follows : — •Any selector of less than six hundred and forty acres of land under part 111 of this Act, or under the provisions of any former Act relating to occupation of laud on similar tenure, may apply to the board for an additional area of surveyed or unsurveyed land contiguous to the land in his selection ; and the board, if they think tit, but subject to the limitations of this Act, may dispose of such land to the applicant without competition, at such price not being in any case less than twenty shillings per acre, to hold the same on the same tenure as that of his original selection. 1 Lands which are separated only by a road or stream shall be deemed to be contiguous for the purposes of this section.' Intending selectors under this section of the Act should apply to this office immediately, as it is intended to offer all the available Crown Lands for sale at an early date. ON MONDAY, 23rd January, a special Passenger Train will leave Wanganui at 5.45 a.m., Halcombe 8.30 a.m., Feilding 9 a.m., arriving at Foxton at 11.25 a.m. ; returning leaving Foxton at 5.20 p.m. for Wanganui, stopping at any intermediate station if required. Excursion Tickets to Foxton will be issued from Feilding by above train : First-class, os 6d ; second-class, 3s 6d ; available for return on day of isssue only. The morning train for Wanganui will not leave Palmerston till 7 a.m., Feilding 7.45 a.ni., Halcombe 8.30 a.m., arriving at Wanganui at 11.35 a.m. The evening train from Wanganui will be delayed till 5.15 p.m., and will run thirty minutes later than usual to Palmerston. The train usually leaving Marton at 7.25 p.m. for Rangatira will not leave till 7.50 p.m., and will run accordingly later to destination. BY ORDER.
