MANCHESTER V. HALCOMBE.

This match was played at Halcombe yesterday afternoon, and resulted in a win for the home team by 7 wickets. The visitors only succeeded in putting together 60 runs in their two innings. Halcoinbe compiled 43 runs in their first venture, and soon knocked up the requisite number at their second attempt. For Halcombe, Manning and Hunter, bowled splendidly, the former taking 9 wickets for 27 runs, and the latter 8 wickets for 22 runs, in the two innings of the visitors. For the Manchester Club, Richards took 4 wickets for 22 runs, and Garratt captured 5 wickets at a cost of 12 runs. The bowling proved far to good tor the batting, which was very poor.
