Bush fires in toe Gunbower district have devastated between thirty and forty square miles of country, and destroyed a large quantity of fencing and machinery The Cohuna Creamery was burnt to the ground, and upwards of 1200 sheep were roasted alive. Brisbane, This Day. A cyclone at Normanton demolished the Catholic Church and seriously damaged several private buildings. Sydney, This Day. There is no doubt that the ketch Agnes Rose has been lost with all hands. The captain's sea chest has been found on the coast.
