Wanganui Education Board
The usual monthly meeting of the above Board commenced on Monday evenia% last. Present — Messrs G. Carson (Chairman), Bridge, Hurley, Beckett. Fly. Notman, Ross, and Sanson. The Inspectors, Messrs Bindon and Spencer, were also present. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed Financial. -The cash. statement showed : General account credit £162 7s 7d ; building account credit, £50 11s 8d ; liabilities, £1761 4s ; net debit balance, L 1548 4s 9d. Sanson. — H. Bowater was appointed pupil teacher as this school. Feilding.— The matter of assistant teacher at this school was referred to the Executive. Makino Road.— -James Nairn's appli* cation for a transfer was also referred to the Executive. Relieving Teacher,— The resignation of Mr Jenkins was accepted. An application from the Birmingham committee for school enlargements could not be intertained, owing to the want of funds.
