With reference to the report published in the Advocate that a Pemberton man had been " lambed " to the extent of J£42 by the Feilding Hotel keepers, we have caused inquiries to be made, and find that our contemporary must have been misinformed, as the statement had no foundation in fact. In the Wellington Mayoral Election Mr H. D. Bell polled HOS votes against Mr Geo. Fisher's 572. Mr Pish, M.H.E, was defeated for the Dunedin mayoralty.
