WELLINGTON SUPREME COURT. (PEE PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, November 28. A young girl named Emma Darling, while riding near the Wairarapa Lake Ferry, was killed by her horse rearing and falling on her back. This Day. In the Supreme Court to-day the Chief Justice granted the application of accused's counsel for a special jury in case of Syms, charged with attempt to procure abortion in Woodville, and the trial is fixed for December 13th to suable Dr Dehsle to be present. The murder case is proceeding, the pri soners being tried separately. The case of Henry Finley was taken first. Arrived at midnight the Kaikoura from London. Dunbdin, This Day. Mr John Simmon, father of Messrs Simmon Bros, boot warehousemen, broke a blood vessel while walking along the street and died a quarter of an hour afterwards, D. Robertson, a farmer at Tapanui, was attacked by his bull while giving it a drink, and so severely injured that he now lies in a precarious condition. Auckland. November 28. A man named Peter McKenzie, aged 60 years, believed to be a guoidijger, was found dead in his whnre, three miles from town. During the severe thunderstorm at -Whangarei on Friday, a man named Mulraney was Btruck senseless by a flash ot lightning, and rendered temporarily deaf and blind, but soon recovered.
