The Secretary of the General Post Office has received a cable from the Agent-General in London, stating that only Australian mails were burnt in the Nevada last month, which were those from Adelaide. The New Zealand portion escaped distruction. There is beautiful weather for the second day's show, and large crowds are proceeding to the grounds at Petone.
