m. — The Wellington branch of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report on &c produce markets for the week ending Wednesday, Noyember 2, 1892, as follows:— Sheepskins,— We have to report a decline in values, and quote best dry crossbredsup to 5s 3d. Dry country crossbreds, 3s to 4s 6d for medium to best; for inferior to medium, Is 6d to 3s. Tallow. — Local market is without change. All consignments are readily disposed of to manufacturers. Quotations are— for rough fat, 12s 6d to 13s 6d; medium to good tallow, 15s to 17s ; prune 18s to 20s, up to 21s for good shipping lines. Our latest London cable reports market steady. Good' beef tallow has declined 9d per cwt, and is now worth 23s 9d per cwt; fine mutton, 26s per cwt. Hides are without alteration, a steady demand is experienced for; all coming forward, and we quote up to 3Jd for heavy ox, Frozen Meat— Our London office cable as follows :^-The New Zealand beef market is under stocked, f orequarters are worth 3fd per Ib, hindquarters 4£d. The mutton market has declined $d per lb. Canterbury mutton is worth 4d, and Wellington mutton 3|d per lb. Grain— The oat market remains without any apparent change. We quote bright short feed at 2s 3d to 2s 4d ; inferior, Is ll£d to 2s; bright long oats at 2s l£d to 2s 2d; whole fowl wheat, 2s 6d to 2s 7d ; maize, 3s Is to 3s 2d; feed barley, 2s 5d to 2s 6d, Grass Seeds— A fair enquiry for bright' clean southern rye grass at 4s Id to 4s 3d; Poverty Bay, 6s to 6s 9d; Pacey's imported, 4s ; cocksfoot, 2fd to 3Jd for | clean heavy seed. _^ i
