■ ♦ (Continuation of Report.) Foxton.— ln replying to a letter from the teacher as to the staff of this school, it was resolved that the Committee be informed that they arefullj officered, but that if they have a suitable male pupil the Board will consent to his appointment as cadet. It was also decided that the Board could not take over the chemical aparatus need io the school. Sandon.— B. J. Watkin was appointed cadet. Halcombe.— An application from b lorence Staite for a pupil teachership was held oyer for want of a vacancy, as also was Annie Scott's. Building Grant.— lt was resolved that the Government be written to again on the matter of the building grant. The Chairman and Mr Notman were also asked to interview Mr Ballance on the subject. Feilding and Taikorea.— Tenders were opened for the residence at Feilding and school at Taikorea, and left over pending the receipt of further information re the Board's building grant. Ohingaiti. — The Committee having received notice to quit the building leased by the Board at this place, the Board resolyed that nothing could be done towards erecting a school pending receipt of further information as to funds from the Government. Aratiki.— The Board decided that the improvements to residence could not be undertaken at present. Pemberton.— An objection having been made to the wire fence by the owner of an adjoining section, it was resolved to authorise the Committee to erect a stab fence. Pohangina.— Mr Hurst's application for section 25, Block 14, Awahoe, Pohangina was received. It was resolved to leaee the section on the usual terms. Transfers.— A report received from Mr Bindon respecting the transfer of certain teachers was referred to the Executive Com mittee.
