Wanganui Education Board
The Education Board met last night. Messrs Carson (Chairman), Sanson, Bridge, Baker, Fry, Notman, Beckett, and the Rev. J. Ross were present. Minutes.— The minutes of the last meeting were read ann confirmed. Cash Statement. — The following statement was read :- General account credit. £337 18s ; building account overdrawn, £641 15s ; budding account liabilities, £2502 16s 6d; debit balance, £2806 12s 6d. Proportion of this year's building grant just received aud not accounted for in the above £1585. Appointments. — The following were dealt with in Committee : — Colyton. — Resignation of teacher was accepted. Hiwinui. — Names of teachers were adopted to be sent on for vacancy, Ohingaiti. — Application for boarding allowance to teacher was not granted, The meeting then adjourned until 10 o'clock this morning.
