Feilding Athletic Sports
The annual general meeting of the above was held in Mrs Hastie's Sample Booms on Tuesday evening. Mr Walter Bailey presided. The minutes of the previous annual meeting were read and confirmed. The report and balance sheet were read by the Secretary, Mr H. L. Sherwill, and adopted, The following is a summary of receipts and expenditure : — Eeceipts :
The committee has a sum of £50 fixed deposit in the Bank of New Zealand. A cordial vote of thanks was passed to the retiring committee. Mr Goodbehere proposed, and Mr Saywell < seconded, That the following gentlemen constitute the Committee for this year : — Messrs Frank Y. Lethbridge, Walter and William Bailey, Strachan, C. Bray, and C. Bray junr., J. Bartholomew, Gosling, Goodbehere, Hartgill, Morey, W. Reed, G. Saywell, H. Worsfold, Sandilands, P. Thomson, E. Whisker, G. Kirton and W. j G. HaybiUle.— Carried. On the proposition of Mr Kirton, seconded by Mr G. Lethbridge, Messrs Sherwill and C. Bray junr. were unani- 1 mously elected Secretary and Treasurer, I respectively.
