Constipation
♦■ Or costireness, is one of the most frequent results of liver complaint, and requires prompt and careful attention, for if the faecal matter becomes impacted in the bowels dangerous effects are to be apprehended. The jastly celebrated Dr Abernethy said inattention to the action of the stomach and bowels was the cause of ninety per cent, of our physical ailments, and modern science has proved this assertion correct. Care, however, requires to be observed in the choice of remedies, for there are numerous drastic and violent cathartics sold nnder yariou s fancy names, but Dr Fletcher's Pihs are used with the best advantage in such cases. These pills are from the prescription of Dr Bell Fletcher, of Birmingham. England, and were used by him in his private and general Hospital practice there for many years with the greuit»L I success.
