The oure for scour in calves depends partly upon the cause of the trouble. Sometime a little carbonate of soda, mixed with the milk they drink, will give relief. In many parts of England, as a specific for scour, a root of rhubarb is boiled, and the liquid given to the calves in moderate doses. But as a remedy for scour in calves, a writer in an American journal states :— Take a fresh egg, very little salt, as much wheat flour as the egg will wet, and work with the hands into a stiff paste. When well worked break it up into pieces about the size of aa English walnut, roll each piece into a ball, open the calf's mouth and put the balls as far down the animal's throat as you can. Two balls twice each day are enough for a calf under two weeks old. Reduce the milk a little while giving it the balls. Give the balls two hours after feeding. Certainly the best medicine known is Sander and Sons' Eucalypti Extract-ie.-t its eminently powerful effects in :t>ut>hs, colds, influenza; the relief is in* stantuneous. In serious cases, and ac« cidents of all kinds, be they wounds, burns, scaldings, bruises, sprains, it is the safest remedy — no swelling — no mHaniruation.
