Messrs Lowes and Irons report on. their sale at Masterton on Thursday, 6th' October, aa follows :— Large entries of hogge.ts of both sexes formed the chief lines in sheep at yesterday's sale, and although the prices were considered Rood, a third were passed, the reserve being too, high. The small entry of mutton sold well.. In cattle, the pens were occupied^, chiefly by store steers, which meV. with.'.iair competition.
