The Board met last Thursday morning. Present— Messrs J. H. Baker (Comurisaioner of Crown Lands), Fitzherbert, Fisher and Hogg, M.H.R. Schedules of titles were submitted to the board bb follows : — 1. Approved, conditions haying been complied with— L. E. Birch, J. T. Marriott, E. EeyelJ, McHenny, and Martin, E. Smith, W. Port, H. Jacob, J. McClenaghan, J. Shapelske, W. J. Paulin, C. M. Fletcher, F. H. Cane, D. G. Monrad, M. E. Port, P. M. Izard.SJ. Major, J. Falconer, and Kruse. 2. Not approved, conditions not having been complied with— A. Saudel, W. F. Douey, J. Vile, S. J. Crasse, A. W. H. Wickes, B. J. Scadden. Schedules of transfers unapproved were submitted as follows :— J. Nixon, \V. Henson. Transfers approved were eranted— S. Peibberton, G. Bichardson, sen., H. A. F. and G. L. Sixtus, A. B. Cox, D. and J. W. Davis, D. Dickie, H. E. Mowbray, T. Pratt, M. Nilsson, A. McFarlane, C, Douey, jun., C. A. W. Monckton, A. Avery, M. Gurnett, W. A. Port, J. A. Gower. Mr J. Burbage applied with reference to the transfer of section 51, block 5, Mangaone, and it was resolved that if Mr Titnmins' son is eligible, the transfer would be allowed. Mr Stubbingtori's application for transfer, himself to Mrs J. Short, was left to the Commissioner to enquire into. Mr E. E. Waldegrove applied to transfer section 22, block 13, Apiti to Mr R, Borne. The board decided 'That if Mr Burne will guarantee to effect the sixth year's improvements this season, the transfer will be granted as soon as the area now felled is laid down in grass. Applications to capitalise were granted as follows:— J. Pinford, M'Henny and Martin, H. Sidcole, S. Harding, Maneahao; A. and H. Bosher, F. Shapleske, G. Martin, A. W. H. Wickes, Apiti ; W. J. Paulin, Ongo; T. Close, and M. E. Port. Pohangina. It was decided to inform Mr H. Peterson that if he has made the required irnprovementß, the board will allow him to convert section, 3, block 10, Mangaone, from the perpetual lease to the deferred payment system. The board decided to forfeit the selector's interest in section 11, block 5, Apiti, for non-payment of rent and failure to 6ign the lease in time. Mr A. G. Smith waited on the board and asked for time in which to effect the improvements on section 45, block 11, Ongo. The board resolved that if the payments are made by next meeting, and ' the improvements required are effected in six months' time, no further action will betaken. 1 The following selectors were reported by the Crown Land Ranger to be in arrear with their improvements, and it was resolved to take the usual action to compel them to comply with the conditions of the Act :— -Haycock and Cleaver, H. O. E. and E. N. E. Calthrop, R. G. Davies, Apiti; Elsie Connell, R. McDou«all, C. Tickner, Ongo; J. Pickett, A. O. Christiansen, J. T. Duffy, J. C. Williamson, Mary Simpson, Catherine Croft, Mangaone. It was decided to forfeit J. Highatn and C. J. Jansen's section in the Pohangina. Apiti district, as the required improvements had not been carried out.
