"Wellington. September 22. The Native Land Purchase Bill wa« re-committed for the purpose of adding a new clause. It was moved bj Ml Duthie, and sought to provide for a re» turn being laid before the House each session giving full particulars of the previous year's transactions with Natives under the Act. — Atter some discussion the new clause was agreed to. The Bill was then, after some discussion, read the third time and passed. The Dairy Industry Bill and the Mini ing Companies Act Amendment Bill were put through their final stages after a lengthy debate. The Friendly Societies Act, 1882, Amendment Bill passed through com* mittee without amendment. In committee on the Government Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Bill, clause 3 was amended by fixing L3OOO as the maximum amount to be leal to the trustees of a drainage district.
