At the last meeting of tne Otahuhu Auckland Fruitgrowers' Association Mr Hun on read the following recipe for dressing trees. The recipe was sent to him by Colonel Haultain, to whom it had been given by Mr T. F. Cheesemen : — lake 31b of washing soda, pulverise and I'Gil in one quart of water; add by def>rci't, 4lb of powdered resin, at the sain, lime ndJing small quantities ot Bairn nater until the total reaches fingallons. This is the stock. It must be diluted with ten times the quantity of water when used. This has been pronounced by Americans to be the l>e*i wa>h (or spray) for all kinds of scale and blight It will not injure tbe tenderest hothouse plant. Certainly tbe best medicine known i> Sandeb and Sous' Eucalypti Extbact. Test its eminently powerful effects in coughs, colds, influenza; the relief is instantaneous. In serious cases, and accidents of all kinds, be they wounds. burns, scaldings, bruises, sprains, it is the safest remedy — no swelling — no inflammation. Like surprising effects produced in croup, diphtheria, bronchitis, inflammation of the lungs, swelling, <&c ; diarrhoea, dy sentry, diseases of the kid> neys and urinary organs.
