Mr Halley advertises a shop to let in Fergusson street. A brown paper parcel found on the Awahuri road yesterday has been left at this office. A new advertisement appears in our columns this day from Mr Dayid Humphries, baker, of Buunythorpe, whose carts run regularly to Feilding and the surrounding district. A new advertisement from the Red House will appear in our next issue giving particulars of spring goods to open m a few days ; also about a shipment of seasonable goods, etc., per s.s. Pakeha now due. Notice is given that poison for dogs has been laid on the several properties of Messrs Thomas and John Bryce at the Kiwitea. This has been made necessary owing to the ravages among the sheep by the useless curs allowed to run wild about the country districts. In our advertising columns will be seen a fresh advertisement of Mr T. A. Garratt's, chemist, Manchester street, calling attention to his medicines, for the cure of diseases in both man and beast. We have heard of yery excellent results being obtained by using Mr Garratt's veterinary medicines by several of the leading settlers in the district. Messrs J. C. Morey and Co. will open up 27 cases of new goods on or about next Saturday. This season's shipment haying been personally selected, buyers would do well to wait for the grand show which will be made by the firm. Advt. Cobbe and Darragh have received the new season's samples of tweeds and fancy suitings, from which they are now taking orders for suits to measure.
