There was a very good muster of the Manchester Rifles in the Assembly Booms on Thursday night. It was suggested that as the Assembly Boom was so much better adapted for doll purposes, owing to greater .space than the Barrack room, some arrangement be made to hold the parades in the former regularly. It is probable the subject will be discussed at a meeting of the corps at an early date. • . The corps will be inspected by Colonel Fox next Thursday, when every man must be present. Mr Montrose paid a high compliment to the corps. He said the Manchester Rifles were the biggest and best set np volunteers he had seen for many a day.
