Messrs Wrigglesworth and Binns, photographers, Wellington, have been appointed photographers to the Governor. His Excellency has expressed his great gratification at the manner in which the firm have produced the various photographs which he has had taken at their establishment. The amateurs who are to take part m the " Octoroon " on Monday next are working hard at their respective parts, and haye had two or three rehearsals already this week, and there is every probability of the affair being a great success, so far as those taking part in it are concerned, and it only remains for the pubho to roll up on the day fixed when they will receive good value for their mouey. Messrs Ross and Sandford, of the Bon Marche, beg to intimate the arrival of their first shipment of Spring and Summer goods ex cargo steamer Ruahine. comprising the largest delivery ever received by them at oue time.
