THE HOSPITAL BALL.

TO THE EDITOR OF THK STAR. Sir, — When we see our fellow creatures suffering from accidents or illness, our first and most anxious thoughts are to aid them ; hence, charitable assistance in the form of hospital subscription, commends itself, with particular force, to our consideration. It asserts itself at a time when the victims of calamity are especially helpless, and appeals strongly to our support of the forthcoming ball in aid of the hospital funds. Thanking you for inserting this, and trusting all will unite in furthering the success of the entertainment on Tuesday evening next. I am, &c, A Subscriber.
