Feilding E.M. Court
Monday, August 22. (Before Messrs G. Kirton and W. G. Haybittle, J.P.s) On the application of Jane Turner a prohibition order was granted against her husband, Edward Turner, applicable to Feilding, Awahuri, Palmerston, Coljton, Cheltenham, Ashurst, and Halcombe, &c. Ellen Lousia Margaret Nilson applied to have her busband Rasmus Nilson, bound over to keep the peace. The parties in this case are residents of Halcombe. Mr Richmond for the plaintiff, and Mr Sandilands for the defendant. After hearing the evidence, tho Bench dismissed the case. A second charge brought by the same plaintiff against the same defendant for assault was also dismissed. The Bench considered that with a little forbearance on the part of both plaintiff and defendant, their differences could easily be adjusted.
