(pee united phess association). Auckland, August 20. At the inquest on Frederick Plummer, the Papakura constables deposed that deceased twice fired at them. They only fired to intimidate him, and were surprised that the shot took effect. The jury fouud a verdict that Plummer was shot by the constable in the execution of his duty, being justifiable homicide, and added a rider commending the conduct of the constables.
