Forward business in cargoes from the Australian colonies is inactive. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) have received the following cable advice from their London office, dated sth August : — Frozen Meat — Mntton market quiet. Canterbury mutton is worth 33d, and Wellington 3;^d perlb. The lamb market is firm, Canterbury being worth s',d per lb. Tallow — Tallow is dull of sale. Fine mutton tallow is worth 25s 9d, and good beet 23s 9d per cwt. Special attention is directed to the CoOp. Co.'s advertisement in this issue. Great bargains in ulsters, furs, underclothing, pinnafores, &c. are notified. The company has received a splendid assortment of vegetable and flower seeds, the growth of which is guaranteed. — Advt.
