The Hawkes Bay Herald of Tuesday has the following :— The Hon. J. V. OrmondcaWed over to Melbourne yesterday morning concluding the negotiations for the purchase of the thoroughbred mcehorße Drednought, and the staJhon . will be brought over to Hawkes Bay immediately. Drednought was bred by the the late Hon James White, and is by Chester out of Trafalgar, by Blair Athol from Mnsket'a dam. It will thus be seen that in Drednought the Hon. J. D. Ormond has secured two of the most highly prized and valued strains of blood In the world. Dreadnought was a great performer in Australia, winning all the classic races he was sent for as a three-year-old. ___________________
