(PKR PRESB ASSOCIATION.) London. July 29 New Zealand long-berried wheat is firmer at 345. Canterbury mutton, 4d ; lamb, s^d ; beef, hindquarters, 3£d. The New Zealand hemp market is flat, and prices are unchanged. Danish butter brings 110s per cwt. South Australian wheat is firmer at 35s ; Victorian, steady at 84s. The Bradford wool market has a. more hopeful appearance, and a fair amount of business has been done. Prices remain very firm. i New Zealand cheese is quoted at from 50i t 525. August 31. It is stated the butchers are substU tuting New Zealand lambs and sheep for English and Scotcn, in consequence of the enormous profits to be made out of them. |. The New Zealand Loan and Mercan tile Agency Company, (Limited), hnve receired the following cable advice from ' their London office, dated 29 th July: — \ For New Zealand mutton the tone of the market is better. Canterbury mut' ton is worth M per ib. New Zealand ' beef, forequarters, is worth 3?d per Ib. Other quotations unchanged since last telegram. Tallow is dull of sale; fine mutton tallow is worth 25s 9d, and good ' beef 23s 9d per cwt.
