New scenery, new dresses and marvellous stage effects never before attempted in Feilding. The concluding tableau will include the rising of the moon with its reflection on the rippling river. IT having been decided to observe THURSDAY, the 4th August, as a Public Holiday in all public offices throughout the Colony, for the planting of Trees and Shrubs, the CITIZENS of FEILDING are hereby invited to co-operate in the movement, and to observe that day, from 12 o'clock noon, as a Public Holiday (instead of Wednesday afternoon), for the purpose stated. Donations of Trees, Shrubs, Stabs, or other fencing, material, will be thankfully received by the Borough Council from the Public, who are also invited to assist in the work of planting. W. G. NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intent ion of this Board, at a special meeting, to be held on SATURDAY, the 6th August, to strike a general rate of three farthings in the £ on the rateable value of the whole of the rateable property within the Kiwitea Road District, as appearing in the Valuation Roll in force for the period from Ist April, 1892, to 31st March, 1893. Such rate to be payable in one sum at the office of the Board, Feilding, on Saturday, the 20th August, 1892. Also, to strike a General Rate of one farthing in the £ (under the Counties Act) on the rateable value of the whole of the rateable property, as appearing in the Valuation Roll of the Kiwitea Road Board District in force for the period from Ist April, 1892, to 31st March, 1893. Such rate to be payable in one sum at the office of the Board, Feilding, on Saturday, the 20th August, 1892.
