THE FANCY DRESS BALL.

TO THE KDITOtt OF THE STAK. | Sir,—l am very glad to see a Fancy j Dress Ball for children is being initiated ' in Feilding, in aid of the funda for build- { ing the District Hospital in Palmerston. j I was a visitor at the one held in that j town, which was very much crowded and a tremendous success, bringing in a profit, with the Government subsidy, of £100. The enjoyment of the children was delightful to witness, and the picturesqne grouped, as they moved and danced in their fancy dresses was a sight as unexpected as beautiful, and could only be believed by those who saw it. Trusting the Fancy Dress Ball will be as great a success iv Feilding. I am, etc., Mater Familias.
