♦ Messrs F. R. Jackson and Co report as follows :— The sales at Waverley and Wanganui passed off fairly well. At the latter yards an improvement in values for sheep was observable. The bidding in all cases was brisk and , nearly all lines were cleared out. We quote .— Cattle.— At Waverley : Grown steers, £3 lis ; cows and calves, £4 15s 63 ; milch cows, £5. At Wanganui : Good yearlings, £2 10s; heifers, £2 10s ; milch cows, £3 6s to £4 ss. Sheep.— At Waverley: Wethers, lis to 13s 6d ; ewes, §s to lis 7d ; old ewes, 5s 6d to 7s 6d ; lambs, 8s od. At. Wanganui : Fat wethers, 14s 6d to 15s 5d ; stores, 12s to 15s ; culls, 10s ; ewes, 13s ; old ewes, 8s 3d : lambs, 9s id to 9s Bd,
