Tho Manchester Rifles will parade for drill and inspection on Thursday, the 2Sth instant. Tno supply of tho now drill books being limited, the Defence Office has sent to Melbourne for a number, which will be issued to officers commanding companies, on their arrival. The changes brought about affect squad, company, and battalion drill. The most important change is probably that in tho " attack," as the authorities have acted on the assumption that fixed rules for movements in the face of an enemy cannot bo laid down.
