♦ Messrs Lowes and Irons report an follows :— There was as usual a good attend* ance of buyers at our fortnightly sale on the 13th instant, and the tone of the sale generally wa9 a decided improvement upon its predecessors for the last two months. Breeding ewes elicited a much better inquiry and a yery decided improvement in price, while other sheep fully maintained late rates. Cattle also hold their position firmly ; fat wethers, 13s 3d to los ; fat ewes, 13s ; breeding ewes, 9s 6d to Us 2d ; close wool old ewes 7s 9d ; store wethers, Us 6d and Us 9d ; no quotable change in any kind of cattle ; draught horses, medium, £9 15s to £15 • no demands for hacks; pigs, 9s for weaners and Ids for slips.
