London Wool Markets

(per press association.) London, July 14. The wool sales closed spiritedly as compared with the May series. In merinos sound combing greasy is a halfpenny higher, and other qualities a half* penny lower than the last closing rates. Good crossbreds closed from par to a halfpenny higher. British buyers took 155.000 bales, Continental 194,000, and American 21,000, and 43,000 were withheld. The prospects of an advance at the next series are doubtful.
