Football Notes
Palmerstoa defeated Marton on Saturday by 11 points to nil. Tries were scored by Jewell (2), Valentine and Stallard. Bulls defeated the Palmerston II by 7 points to 2. Foilding II forfeited to Awahun. The Wanganm-Waverley match resulted in a draw, neither side scoring. A team from the Wanganui Football Club will play the Feilding Seniors on the Oval here next Saturday. Marton II forfeited to Kea Kaha. The Awahuri footballers paid Feilding a visit last Saturday, for the purpose of holding a practice game. Sides were chosen, and a pleasant and enjoyable game took place, the weather for a wonder, being favorable, and the ground in good order.
