If the surgeon who was required to make the post mortem had been able to do this work on the Saturday, I had arranged to hold the inquest on that evening and should ha^fe been present; but the inquest was delayed j to suit the surgeon until Sunday when through sickness 1 could not a^iend, but Isent over, specially a messenger with the necessary forms and instructions to the constable how to proceed. I quite > agree with you it is high tome a District Coroner should be appointed for the Feildiug circuit, and, in conclusion, let me add another appointment! will soon have to be made as it is my intention to resign as I shall be seeking, when the time arrives, a position m anotper sphere which will not permit of my ' holdiug any paid position under Government. \ 1 am, etc, ;.
