Messrs P. R. Jackson and Co report : The entry of stock at our Palmerston yards yesterday was on a par with sales held by us here lately, but more animation in (he bidding was noticeable throughout. AJost of the entries were quilted at quotations, Cattle.— Mixed 18-months cattle, £3 ; milch cows, £6 ; well bread weancr steers, £2 12s ; heifers, 375. Shei-p. — Fresh full mouthed ewes in lnml>, 13s 5d ; others, 7s Id to 8s 2d ; lambs, 5s to 7s 9a ; culls, 4s 7d.
