Wanganui Education Board
The following are the chief items of business transacted at the Thursday's sitting of the Education Board ; — Taonpi.— The report on school ano* residence was referred to the Executive. Pabakkakktu. —It was decided that the teacher be informed that he should not interfere with the school* committee elections, save to record his yotc. Ohingaiti.— An estimate was asked for the cost of (he clearing and fencing desired. Feilding.— A sum of £4, 6s 6d was voted for the making of footpaths. Resolved to build an additional room to the master's rcsidance, Wanganci.— The Board consented to make the desired application to the police asking them to make a census of the school children in the district. Certificates —It was resolved that in future teachers must attend the annual examinations for certificates.
