Wanganui Education Board

The ordinary monthly meetings of the Education Board were commenced last night. Messrs Carson (Chairman), Sanson, Bridge, Baker, Fry, Notnaan, Hurley, and Beckett, and the llev. J. Ross were present. Inspector Bindon was also present. Appointments, — The Board went into committee to consider appointments and other business, and reported as follows : — Apiti — An application from Miss Emma Carter for an appointment was held over. Feilding — An application from this committee for a pupil teacher was held oyer pending the receipt of the current quarterly return of attendance. Hawera — The name of four teachers, from Wanganui, Auckland, Wellington, and Otago, selected to be sent on to Hawera, from the committee choose one for headmaster. The Boavd then adjourned.
