In our last issue we pointed out that that there was no necessity for either candidate for the Eangitikei seat to be badgered about the Feildine: Birmingham telephone line, and in confirmation of our statement we publish to-day an invitation for tenders for the poles required. One end of the proposed bridge would be in the Eangitikei and the other in the Waitotara Electorate, but the people most benefitted now live on the east side of the river in our Electorate. Of course the settlers on " the other side" would reap a portion of the advantage?, or what on earth would be the use of the bridge ?
