FEILDING - BIRMINGHAxM LINE. nnENDERS are invited for the sup- _|_ ply and delivery of 25-feet and 20-feet Totara Telegraph Poles for a line of telegraph, to be hereafter indicated, between Feilding and Birmingham. The 25-feet poles must be 9x 9 at butt, and 7 x 7 at top ; the 20-feet poles 8 x 8 at butt, and 6 x 6 at top — all of good sound heart of totara. The exact number of each kind will be determined after survey of line. Tenderers must state the price per pole for each kind delivered at peg. Tenders will be received up to the 4th July, 1892, and must be accompanied by a marked cheque, good for 21 days, equal in amount to ten per cent of the tender. The number of poles required will be about 400, of which 50 will be 25 feet, and the balance 20 feet. The 10 per cent cheque of the successful tenderer will be retained by way of security for due completion of contract. The time for delivery will be four months from date of acceptance of tender.
