Mr Sandilands for plaintifl, and Mr Prior for defendant. Plaintiff deposed to the effect that an account was opened at his shop between defendant and another man, and Bassett. Lucre had paid £3 on account. J. Bleakely, bookkeeper for plaintiff, said defendant had called at* the store, and said that as he had received a lawyer's letter about the claim, he thought he had better come and pay his share. Frank Bassett said he had " backed " with two others. Had assigned his estate to his creditors. Mr Prior submitted his client had paid his full share of the partnership. Judgment for plaintiff, for full amount, and costs 10s. "W. G. Haybittle v W. Howie ; claim, 10s Id. Judgment for amount aud costs 20s, solicitor's fee, 21s. C. Thorburn v F. Palmer; claim, £7 2s. Mr Sandilands for plaintiff. Judgment for plaintiff and costs los. H. L. 1 Sherwill, secretary Acclimatisation Society v H. Johns, for killing natiye and imported game without a license. Mr Sandilands for plaintiff. Defendant was fined on each charge making with costs £5 5s in all. The Eanger of the Wellington Acclimatisation Society (W. Moorhouse) v. Sharp. Plaintiff deposed he saw defendant on Friday last and asked him to produce his license to shoot. Defendant admitted he had not one, but was making arrangements to take out a license. Mr Prior for defendant, who did not appear, cross-examined the plaintiff. For the defence, Mr Benson deposed that Mr Sharp had stated to witness his intention of taking gut a license, and Mr W. Light, of the Denbigh Hotel, deposed to the same effect. Defendant was fined £4, costs 7s, and solicitor's fee 2ls.
