Ladies' Day at the Epsom Summer Meeting resulted as follows :— Fieche, 1 ; The Smew, 2 ; Lady Hermit. 3« PERFORMANCE OF THE WINNER. La Fleche'B record is a most successful one. Last season she started four times, and secured a winning bracket on each occasion. She : opened business at the Newmarket July meeting by carrying the citron and turquoise colours to the front in the Chesterfield Stakes, 5 furlongs, beating four others in Imin 4 l-ssec, and followed it up by winning the Levant Stakes, 5 furlongs, and the Molecomb Stakes, 6 furlongs, at the Goodwood July Reunion ; and the Champagne Stakes, 5 furlongs and 152 yards, at the Doncaster September Meeting, her winnings totalling £8415. L» Fleohe was bred by Her Majesty at Bushey Park, and cost 5500 M» yearling, : Svdnby, June 4. At the -Tattersall's Grand National Steeplechase Meeting to-day, the prmci- * pal event, the Grand National Steeplechase, resulted :— Grandwing, 1; Bonnor, 8; Singleton, 8. AUckiaSD, June 4.
