Limited, report on the produce markets for the week ending Wednesday, 25th May, as follows :— "Wool— We notice fitom Press Association cablegrams that the list for the third series of London sales has closed. The total arrivals to date number 425,000 baleß, of which 58,000 bales have been forwarded to manufacturers direct. Locally, nothing of importance has transpired during the week. Sheepskins continue in active request, and all parcels brought forward during the week met with ready sale at late rates, viz :— Gresn crossbreds, 3s lOd to 4s 8d ; dry skins, 4d to 5d per lb. Tallow and Fat— We repeat last quotations, viz :— Inferior to good, 16s to 19s ; rough fat, 12s to 13s per cwfc. Good demand for all on offer. Rides — No quotable alteration in prices toweord. , Oats — This market continues firm, owing to prices ruling in the South. We quote Is 9d to Is lid, according to quality. Wheat-~GrOod whole wheat is moying off at 2s 8d to 3s. Hemp— We regret, to say that the situation remains without alteration. Cable advices from London and America advise drooping markets, and the prospect of immediate improvement is anything but hopeful. Our London office quote medium quality at £19 per ton , there. . Frozen Meat—Our London manager cables:— 'Beef market dull. Quotations have declined'id per lb. Mutton market weaker, and prices have declined £d per lb. Lamb market firmer, and prices have declined $d perlb.
