. The members of the Manchester Rifles are reminded of the capitation ' parade on Thursday evening. ( . , We congratulate Mr Charles Bray on having successfully passed his examination for a commission as lieutenant. ' * We notice in the Army brazette of the 15th March, 1892, the following promotion : — " War office, 15th of March, 1892.— Captain P. L. Fox, Royal Artillery, is granted the local rank of lieutenant-Colonel while Commandant of the Colonial Forces in ' New Zealand, dated 4th March, 1892." Lieutenant-Colonel Fox is expected to arrive from Sydney direct on Sunday next.— N. Z. Times. .
