The Windsor-Ramhill Tragedies
(per press association. Melbourne. April 18. Deeming was examined by four doctors who declare that he is perfectly sane. It is understood that his line of defence will be instinctive criminality, not insanity. (Received April 19, noon.) Melbouknk, This Dny. Mr M. Dyle has notified the Crown Prosecutor that ho intends to ask for an adjournment of Deeming's trial, on the grounds he is unable to prepare a defence by Monday, and also as owing to the state of public feeling the accused is unlikely to obtain an impartial trial just now. Deeming alleges the warden in Albany gaol shaved off his moustache, and says that he invented the glass story in order to shield that ofnei.il.
