The Wellington branch of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report on the produce market? for the week ending Wednesday 6th April, as follows :— Wool.— Since date of our last circular the series of London sales have opened to a »ood attendance of both Home and foreign buyers, 440,000 bales were available, 84,000 of which were forwarded to the manufacturing districts direct. Prices ruled much in buyers' favour, and since close of last sales a decline of 5 per cent has taken place. Our cable of even date, whilst not advising any actual recovery of values, indicates a much firmer tone with good competition, and we venture to predict that merinos have touched the bottom. Locally, only small lots of stragglers and lambs' wool have come to hand, which meet with fair enquiry at rates current last sales. Sheepskins — We disposed of our usual large catalogue of green factory and dry country skins, the former at 2s lid to 3s 4d, and the latter at prices equal to those quoted last report. Tallow and Fat — No alteration to report in local prices, Our London manager
