Sydney, April 7. Continuous rains are interfering with the training operations, although some serviceable work has been put in. Paris was sent a gallop at three-quarter pace, moving rather short. The Workman in company with Mitre, strode over a mile at a warm pace. Florrie in a sound gallop, but Freedom was not out. Wild Hose was restricted to a six furlong flutter. G'Naroo was sent a couple of miles, the pace being sound all the way. Stromboli and Bengal were exercised over a mile and a half, while the task allotted to La Tosca was a furlong less. April 8. The betting on the Sydney Cup is unchanged, except in regard to Alchemist, who is now at 10 to 1, and Yowi at 12 to 1. London, April 6. At the Epsom Spring Meeting to-day City and Suburban Handicp (of 20 soys o;ic'h and 1000 soys added) resulted as follows :— Buccaneer, 1 ; Trapezoid, a ; Catarina, 3.
