Paeis, April 6. It is reported that the French expedition up the Niger, under the leadership of M. Menard, has been massacred. Madrid, April 6. A bomb was exploded in Valencia, happily, without loss of life. A quantity of dynamite has been discovered in Malaga, one ol the southern provinces. Wanganui, April 6. In the libel case, Hutchison v Ballance and Boyle, the jury gave a verdict for tho plaintiff against Boyle for 40s. This Day. At the Supreme Court to-day in the case of Hutchison v Boyle, Sir B. Stout applied on behalf of defeudanfc for costs which was granted. Subsequently on the application of plaintiff, leave to move for a now trial was granted. Tho hearing of the application is fixed to take place within fourteen days. Auckland, This Day. Mrs Cadmnn is dead.
